Confirmed Service Customer
I purchased a 2022 Silverado 1500 about 18 months ago I was happy to stretch my initial budget to get a brand-new truck, and I was hoping it would become my reliable work tool that I needed. I was hoping to avoid having to worry about repairs or having the truck stuck at the mechanic for days on end. My initial experience buying the truck wasn't particularly exciting and no one cared to make me feel any special or tried to build some sort of loyalty towards the brand or the dealer. It was a very basic cut and dried transaction. Very quickly a couple of issues came up with the truck: Some camera module software update, grille shutter had to be replaced, lane assit and front collision dash light on, continuous ticking or clunking noise from rear axle area etc... Eventually and after being out of a truck for days sometimes close to a full week over multiple visits. All issues were dealt with, but the noise remains a mystery. Apparently, the noise has no corrective measure available. They are not even sure if it comes from the front or the rear. On most of these encounters I had to chase the dealer to get information and updates on the status of my truck. I appreciate that some of these diagnoses can take time, and I would expect nothing less than a thorough check of the issues however Chevrolet does not offer a loaners vehicle. Based on my experience either in person or over the phone there's a general sentiment of dismissal attitude and lack of empathy with poor communication.
